Frequently Asked Questions
We start with an evaluation to assess your current skill level and then recommend programming based off your skill level and commitment. With a wide array of programs, we can usually find one that caters the individual. We have programs ranging from the beginner level with a low commitment all the way up to the advanced player practicing six days a week.
We have a variety of different programs in True Lacrosse Illinois depending on your age, skill level, and commitment. The cost ranges from a singular intro program ($30) to our highest Year round Premier level High School player ($4,000.) We are not the cheapest, nor the most expensive, but we provide the most value. We offer upwards of 150+ training hours over the course of the year for a select level member. When you look at comparable programs in Illinois, we are second to none.
We typically hold our tryouts in August. For the best experience, we recommend the year-round program. We do have options for those that have conflicts or who aren’t ready for that commitment level. If you miss tryouts, that is OK! We are constantly evaluating.
It depends on the season. For example, in the winter we offer multiple training opportunities for our players to take advantage of. However, we know that athletes playing winter sports may not be able to make all of the training during that season. We offer many training opportunities, so they can still get a great deal of value by attending as many as they are able to. During tournament seasons, players are expected to attend all practices and tournaments. We do understand that things come up and we work with families accordingly.
Every team has two coaches with a director. We pride ourselves on having incredible directors and coaches. Every director in True Lacrosse Illinois is a full-time staff member. They are heavily involved in all aspects of the team. Our coaches and directors run all practices and attend every tournament.
