True Fall Tryouts National Tour: Celebrating 10 Years of True!

True Lacrosse Tryouts:
Celebrating 10 Years of True!

2017 marks the 10-year anniversary of True Lacrosse. What started as 24 players on practice fields in Chicago's suburbs has grown to include thousands of players in 14 states and Canada. Despite that incredible growth, our commitment to providing personal attention and training tailored to the individual player remains.

The proof is in the quality of our athletes, from players who simply love the game and want to learn more, to young men and women who are taking their playing careers to the college level.

Over the course of these last 10 years, we've succeeded in providing all players the same elite training we offered those first 24 players - all of whom went on to play college lacrosse - to thousands of young people across the country, expanding our reach and tremendously growing the game in the United States.

Now, it's your turn. True Lacrosse is pleased to announce our Nationwide Fall Tryout Tour Dates. Tryouts for our 2017-2018 teams are coming to a town near you - don't miss your chance to become part of the True Legacy.

True Lacrosse continues its place as the nation's leader in training and developing lacrosse players. We remain committed to providing boys and girls with an exceptional experience. Our coaching staff is comprised of experienced, passionate teachers of the game who are eager to help players reach their goals, both on and off the field. We adhere to a carefully crafted high set of standards, a method that makes True the leading authority in the game.

The cornerstones of the True experience are thorough training, elite tournaments, exceptional coaching, and recruiting guidance. We prepare players of every age and ability to reach their potential and compete at the highest level, resulting in confident, capable athletes ready to face any competition.

Through our long-standing place in the game and reputation for hosting exceptional athletes, True has access to some of the most exclusive tournaments in the country. We provide our players more opportunities to showcase their skills in front of college coaches for the chance to be seen and recruited. We also offer every True Lacrosse player free access to our online recruiting database, a vital tool allowing players to update and share their personal recruiting profile - which features their highlight film, resumes, transcripts and more - with any college coach.

True Lacrosse guides players toward a path to success, however the individual may define his or her own success. We develop players to achieve their potential; partner with players and families to set goals and create a plan; and we will do everything in our power to help our players reach those goals.

Trust the Training

Just as we have from the beginning, True Lacrosse will once again offer more training hours than any other club in the area. We believe for players to become the best they can be, they need a regular training schedule that offers a comprehensive regimen for them to grow their game and build on what they’ve learned. From practice to team training to additional training opportunities offered regularly throughout the year, True Lacrosse players get more time on the field, resulting in a much better performance.

Trust the Coaches

Every True practice, team training, clinic and camp features our experienced, dedicated coaching staff. Our coaches are hand-selected and must meet True’s rigorous qualifications before they can work with players. Every coach has at the very least collegiate playing experience, and most also have experience playing at the semi-pro or professional levels, proving their prowess and skill in the sport. No other club in the Midwest offers more pros and a complete coaching staff with collegiate playing experience.

Top Tournaments

Our longstanding place in the game and reputation for hosting some of the best players in the area allows True access to the top tournaments in the country, guaranteeing our players get exposure to more college coaches, better competition, and more recruiting opportunities. We are the only club in the area who can attend the National Lacrosse Federation (NLF), and we regularly receive invitations to other exclusive recruiting events and tournaments.

Exceptional Recruiting Guidance

Playing in front of college coaches is only part of the recruiting process. Every True Lacrosse player will receive step-by-step guidance throughout every part of his or her recruitment. We have a vast network of support and maintain positive relationships with nearly every college coach in the game today. From one-on-one meetings with our recruiting director to regular recruiting seminars, True Lacrosse players and their families are given all the tools they need to navigate the process with ease and help them find a school where they will be challenged, happy, and ultimately successful, just as hundreds of True Lacrosse players before them have!

Additionally, we created a new recruiting tool in 2016: Whereas a similar service from an outside company would cost you hundreds of dollars, this service is FREE to True Lacrosse players. The True Lax Recruits website allows players to create a profile and continue to update that profile with their transcripts, resumes, highlight film, and more. The True Recruiting Staff will then share the player's profile with college coaches after identifying schools the player is interested in.

We also offer additional resources including recruiting timelines, guidelines, and our True College Connection. When we meet with a player to identify schools in which he or she is interested, we arrange for the player to meet a former True Lacrosse player who is currently attending that school. The player gains a first-hand perspective of the school, the lacrosse program, and student life from a True alumnus. What better way to learn about a school than from a member of your True family?

True Lacrosse All Star State Team players are selected by invitation only. In order to be considered any player MUST attend the fall regional tryout where they will be evaluated amongst players of their age. Any player that does not attend the Fall Regional Tryouts must contact True Lacrosse in order to be evaluated.
